Very Fine People

The Trial of the Tiki Torch Nazis

Very Fine People is an ongoing devised theater piece based on the trial transcripts of Sines v. Kessler, a 2021 civil court case from the Western District of Virginia. The case rose in the aftermath of the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally, in which hundreds of white nationalists arrived in Charlottesville, Virginia to protest the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee.

Very Fine People has had several work-in-progress showings at La MaMa ETC ahead of a prospective multi-show festival and symposium in 2027.

For information on our latest and upcoming showings, please visit www.M-34.org.

To date, there have been five presentations, all with stage management by Isaac VanCuren, sound by Andrew Fox, and costumes by Lara de Bruijn.
