The Flies

The Flies performed in Production Workshop's Downstairs Space, December 8-11, 2006. It was adapted from a new translation by Jen Wineman. It was produced under the auspicies of Brown University's Production Workshop.
Scenery by Kaya Schmandt, Adria Katz, Erik Peterson, Anthony Sabelli and Matt Conrad, lighting by Max Anderson, costumes by Emma Lipkin, original music by David Harrington, sound by Paul Meier, stage management by Alexandra Lubensky, production management by Alex Rosenthal, choreography by Rachel Caris and fly wrangling by Sara Naylor.
The cast featured Byron Asher (Alecto), Austin Campion (Aegisthus), Rachel Caris (Tisiphone), Ross Cowan (Orestes), Aaron Cutler (Tutor), Michael Hammond (Jupiter), Eileen Meny (Megaera), Tara Schuster (Electra), Lizzie Vieh (Clytemnestra) and 60,000 live drosophila melanogaster fruit flies.
